Summer Handbags

Summer Handbags is owned and operated by Lin Crane since 1998. As a young, independent woman, I studied, worked and backpacked my way around the world over a ten-year period, prior to settling down here in Vancouver. During my decade abroad, I was immersed in many cultures from Japan to Thailand to France to Hawaii, and was struck by the vibrancy of their traditions as brought out in their clothing. It's these traditions - the color of tribal clothing, the simple, customary designs, and the intricate decoration - that serve as the inspiration for my bags.

All handbags are made using simple, strong patterns in a variety of natural cottons or silks, including new Kimono fabrics, upholstery and print designs with well-coordinated colors. All bags are fully lined, and typically feature inner/outer zippered pockets, as well as strong finishing details.
