About the Artist - Shari Reid
I have been designing and hand-crafting original hats since 1993, and continue a life-long passion of creating shapes and textures using stitches and exquisite textiles.

I produce two seasonal collections each year featuring 12 to 15 original designer styles. My designs could be described as a range between the classic and romantic to the more practical and versatile. I work with the finest of natural fabric treasures - vintage textiles, recycled materials, hemp and other 'earthy' fibres. Each hat is one-of-a-kind and made with great attention to detail. The highest quality construction methods and materials are used.

In addition to my schedule at the Granville Island Public Market, my 2008 collection can also be found at Comox's Filberg Festival on the BC Day long weekend, and at Vancouver's Circle Craft Christmas Market in November.
