About Us

Our Mission Statement:
The Granville Island Day Vendors Association is committed to helping make the Granville Island Public Market a vital, thriving place of business. Our mandate is to represent our membership while fostering co-operation and respect amongst all stakeholders, and to maintain enhanced communications with the CMHC Market Administration.

About us
The Granville Island Day Vendors Association is a non-profit organization representing more than seventy day vendors operating as cottage industries and selling their wares at the Granville Island Public Market in Vancouver, Canada. Our membership includes some of B.C.'s best artisans and craftspeople - producers of fine craft, artisan-prepared food items and locally grown farm produce. Our Association was officially incorporated under the British Columbia Society Act in August 2005.

Becoming a Member
Memberships are valid from the date of the yearly AGM and will expire on the date of the next yearly AGM before the meeting starts. Fees for yearly membership renewals become due in full and payable at this time. Membership fees for the 2007/2008 year are $40. Membership dues are non-refundable.

In order to become a member of GIDVA, applicants must be current Day Vendors selling their wares as approved and licensed by Granville Island Public Market. Such vendors shall include Craft Vendors, Cottage Industry Food Producers and Farmers.
