Illuminati Glassworks

We’re uncertain how to put into words a specific artistic philosophy that informs our body of work. We know that we love glass and color and though we’ve been fusing glass for three years now, we continue to be amazed at the creative possibilities of the fusing process. We draw inspiration from heraldic imagery as well as our natural environment here on the West Coast. We also strive to incorporate an element of lightheartedness and whimsy in our work. When a visitor sees a piece we’ve made and it makes them smile, we know we’ve made something special.

Our fused glass is both functional and decorative. Many people buy our glass to use as serving pieces and others just buy it to enjoy looking at. We regularly introduce new pieces and are also open to custom work. Remember us when you’re shopping for gifts at Christmas, for a wedding or birthdays. If you’re visiting Vancouver we’re happy to arrange to ship your purchase home directly from the market.

As well as selling our glass at the Public Market, we can be found at several juried shows in British Columbia. These include the Circle Craft Christmas show in Vancouver, the Out of Hand Christmas Show in Victoria and the Filberg Festival which takes place in Comox on Vancouver Island during the August long weekend. This year also marks our first year participating in the Gabriola Island Thanksgiving Studio Tour. Our gallery on Gabriola Island is also open year round.
