The Cascadia Soap Company

The Cascadia Soap Company is a small family enterprise dedicated to the creation of natural skin care products. Joel was born on a small farm/vineyard in the South of France. There he observed his mother making soap the old fashioned way. For his family, the tradition of using available botanicals in the making of soaps, remedies and infusions goes back many generations. Over the years, Joel and his wife Maureen kept this tradition alive. Having heard of the benefits of goat milk in soap we began experimenting and eventually developed a technique used in producing rich, long-lasting, and moisturizing skin cleansing soap bars. Through word of mouth, the demand for this natural product grew very quickly. What was once a hobby became a successful family business.

Selling our products in Granville Island Market (the leading tourist destination in British Columbia) has given Cascadia skin care products international exposure. Keeping the family business small and manageable is a prime objective as it allows us to maintain direct quality control over our product. Our presence at Craft Shows and Markets in the Pacific Northwest and our use of the internet allows us to stay in direct contact with our customers. A growing number of discriminating consumers seek skin care products that are non-toxic and environmentally friendly. More people than ever are experiencing skin sensitivities, thus increasing the demand for our products. We therefore remain committed to hand-crafting the highest quality natural skin care products with the very best Mother Nature has to offer.
